Sean MacCready
Director of Development

A graduate of Nativity BVM high school in Pennsylvania, Mr. MacCready holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Notre Dame. During a year studying in Ireland, he volunteered with Youth Horizons, an educational program for Dublin's at-risk youth who had left school but wished to receive their high school equivalency. It was during this time that Mr. MacCready found his calling to urban education. He earned his Master of Education from Loyola while completing Loyola University of Chicago's Opportunities In Catholic Education program. Mr. MacCready began teaching in Chicago at St. Martin de Porres as a junior high English teacher before coming to St Agnes of Bohemia. At Saint Agnes he taught seventh and eighth grade science and social studies before assuming the post of director of development. While teaching, Mr. MacCready has coached his school's soccer and basketball teams as well as co-organizing the Catholic Unity Basketball League run through Saint Agnes. In addition to his involvement with Saint Agnes, Mr. MacCready serves on the Notre Dame Club of Chicago's Service Committee board and acts as a support person for new teachers with the Inner-City Teaching Corps and LU-CHOICE service teaching programs.
